What is the difference between lining and fluororesin (Teflon) coating?

■Difference Between Lining and Coating Lining is a method that protects the substrate with a relatively thick film, enhancing its corrosion resistance. The differences from coating include the thickness of the film, the presence of pinholes, and the intended use. There are no clear standards, but thick films used for corrosion protection are referred to as lining. ■What is Fluororesin Coating? Coating is a surface treatment technology that can impart the properties of fluororesin to the surface of a substrate, primarily using a baking paint method. The film thickness is generally around several tens of micrometers. ■What is Fluororesin Lining? Fluororesin lining can be processed using the same method as coating. It is particularly used for corrosion protection applications that leverage chemical resistance, and the film thickness is several hundred micrometers, making it thicker than coating.
